The MLU has released its Digital Preservation Policy. The policy was drafted and discussed by the Open Science and research commissions of the MLU and approved by the academic senate in the summer. The policy identifies which data resources are to be stored and preserved in the infrastructure of the MLU and recommends the usage of recognized and suitable external repositories for storing other data materials. The policy recognizes the need to increase the capacity of our current infrastructure to provide adequate solutions to the very heterogenous research outputs of the university. In doing so, national and international standards and recommendations should be followed. The policy complements the existing open access and research data policies.
